Wobbly - Real-Time Generative Art for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad & Mac
Generative art, wherever you look.
Wobbly, now on the big screen
Wobbly TV turns any Apple TV into a piece of living art — the same generative-art soul as Wobbly, rebuilt from the ground up for the biggest screen in the house.
Built for the biggest screen in the house
Smooth Metal rendering, real-time generation, and small touches that make it feel like a piece of furniture, not an app.
Scenes That Never Loop
Every wobble is generated live, frame by frame — no video loops, no repeats. It looks a little different every time you glance up.
4K Metal Rendering
Built on Metal 4 for smooth, real-time rendering — made for Apple TV's biggest, sharpest displays.
Recolor On the Fly
Press select to cycle a scene's color palette right from the couch. Your choice is remembered per scene.
Shuffle Or Park
Let Wobbly TV drift gently between scenes, or turn shuffle off and park on one for as long as you like.
Burn-In Protection
Optional auto-dim kicks in after two idle hours, so Wobbly TV is as safe to leave running as it looks.
Picks Up Where You Left Off
Your last scene, palette, and settings are saved for next time — no re-setup, ever.

Wobbly TV, answered
What is Wobbly TV?
Wobbly TV is a generative art app for Apple TV. It turns your TV into a piece of living art — a curated library of “wobbles,” flowing generative scenes rendered live in 4K that never loop and never repeat. Point the remote, pick a scene, and let it run as an ambient backdrop.
Is Wobbly TV the same app as Wobbly for iPhone?
No — Wobbly TV is a separate App Store listing built specifically for tvOS, with its own purchase. It shares the same generative-art DNA and publisher as Wobbly for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, but it's a different app with its own scene library, free trial, and pricing.
Is there really a free trial, and do I need to pay to start it?
Yes. Every scene is unlocked for 7 days from your first launch — no purchase, no account, and no credit card required to start. The trial start date is tied to your Apple ID via iCloud, so it can't be reset by deleting and reinstalling the app.
What happens after the trial ends?
Glow Worms stays free forever, trial or not. Every other scene shows a lock badge until you unlock Wobbly TV+ with a one-time purchase.
Does Wobbly TV+ require a subscription?
No. Wobbly TV+ is a single one-time purchase ($9.99) that unlocks every scene permanently — not a subscription — and it's covered by Apple's standard refund policy.
Does Wobbly TV collect my data?
No ads, no account, no advertising identifier. Wobbly TV uses optional, consent-gated anonymous analytics (Firebase) to see which scenes people enjoy and catch crashes — off by default in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland until you opt in, and always toggleable from the scene library. See the Wobbly TV Privacy Policy for details.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know about Wobbly, generative art, and live wallpapers.
What is Wobbly?
Wobbly is a generative art app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It's a curated gallery of living, wobbly art — animations called "wobbles" that run in real time on your device. You can touch to interact, tilt to explore, tune each piece with sliders, and set any wobble as an animated live wallpaper. It's free to download on the App Store.
What is generative art?
Generative art is artwork created by an algorithm rather than drawn by hand, so it's always in motion and never exactly the same twice. Every wobble in Wobbly is GPU-accelerated generative art — flow fields, particle systems, fractals, and physics simulations — rendered live on your device instead of played back as a video.
Is Wobbly free?
Yes. Wobbly is free to download, with 15 curated wobbles, touch & tilt interaction, parameter sliders, and a preview of ambient mode. Wobbly+ is an optional one-time purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks all wobbles, all 7 color themes, unlimited ambient mode, and live wallpaper export — shared across your household with Family Sharing.
Can I set Wobbly art as a live wallpaper?
Yes. With Wobbly+, capture any wobble as a Live Photo and set it as your animated lock-screen wallpaper on iPhone. Each export is generated in real time, so every generative-art wallpaper you make is unique. (Live wallpaper export is an iOS feature.)
Does Wobbly work on iPad and Mac?
Yes. Wobbly runs on iPhone and iPad (iOS 16.0+) and on Mac via Mac Catalyst (macOS 13.0+). Touch, tilt, and gyroscope interaction are iOS features; the gallery, themes, and ambient mode work across all three platforms.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account, no sign-up. Wobbly itself collects no data and makes no first-party network calls — it runs fully offline. Free users see a single non-personalized ad in the gallery (Google AdMob, no tracking, no ATT prompt); Wobbly+ removes ads entirely and the ad SDK is never loaded.
